Black Sabbath here I come! \m/(>.<)\m/

Generals gathered in their masses“…….

I am going to fulfill a musical dream…..Black Sabbath, Metallica, Sound Garden and so much more at the Download Festival in Donington UK!!!!! All booked, I managed to get a cheap flight to Belgium, then fly back from the UK to Seattle. Found one of the last beds in the vicinity of Donington! So its off to Brussels, Luxembourg, Paris & Normandy for some WW1 & WW2 history…oh and the Tintin museum (Herge Museum), then metal mayhem!!!!! I think I am going to cry!!!!

I have been plotting on what to do since the 11-11-11 announcement by Black Sabbath that they were reforming, releasing an album with the original lineup and going on a world tour. This all got thrown into chaos with the announcement that Bill Ward was not happy with the contract offered and then the terrible news that Tony Iommi was diagnosed with early stages of lymphoma cancer.

Treatment is reportedly going well but due to this circumstance the world tour was cancelled other than 3 dates (a small gig in the UK, Download and Lollapalooza in Chicago – the latter has a completely non-metal line-up so it seemed a strange choice?). Ozzy and Friends are going to perform the rest of the dates in Europe which will sometimes include Geezer Butler. The recording of the new album is continuing though (not sure what is happening with Bill Ward unfortunately).

Somewhere between 80,000 to 100,000 people were there. Incredible festival and Black Sabbath were the highlight for sure!
